Value of Auto Racing
On the final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500 seven time Winston Cup Champion Dale Earnhardt was killed when his Good wrench Chevy hit the wall entering the tri-oval at nearly 190 miles per hour. I was sitting at home watching this live, as I have watched the Daytona 500 every year for as long as I can remember. I was personally astounded at this, but I was dumbfounded by the talk and news later

we wait for two weeks and celebrate the running of the Daytona 500. Yes, next year I will be watching the cars enter the tri-oval on the last lap of the Daytona 500, I will remember the Intimidator, but I will enjoy racing. And tomorrow when you get in your car and drive down the road remember what NASCAR has done for you. Is NASCAR needed, it is and it has a great overall value.
