The Shakespearean tragedy of "Macbeth" follows the journey of a man who was driven from his inner flaws and desires to his own destruction. Macbeth's journey is that which ends like all Shakespearean tragedies: the death of the tragic hero and the restoration of order. The final scene leaves the audience with a sense of relief that the tyrant is dead while also feeling the anguish of the tragic course of events which killed him.
