The Collision Theory
For particles to react, they must collide. They must also collide with enough energy for a reaction to take place. The energy created is called activation energy. The more often and faster the chemicals collide, the stronger the reaction.
Rate of Reaction
The rate of a reaction depends on four things:
*Temperature - When the temperature increases the particles start to all move quicker. This means that there will be more collisions

the reactions using the highly concentrated acid reacted rapidly at the start.
If I was to do this experiment again I would use a larger gas syringe to ensure that the change over does not affect my results. I also felt that it was hard to get accurate results for the rapid reactions, as the syringe was moving at great speed. The faster reactions could maybe be measured less frequently to give more accurate results.
