In the play Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare there are three witches. It is a historical tragedy about betrayal. The play was based on an actual King of Scotland called Macbeth. …and to make it even more scary and unsettled the witches talk about 'fog and filthy air' which shows atmosphere and suddenly mist appears and they vanish through the trapped door. To sum up everything, the witches created lots of atmosphere. But they contributed highly to the plot and they largely influence Macbeth and what would happen to him, or in this case what they may have planned to do on him for some reason.
