…Taking this into consideration, software manufacturers have to raise the price of their software to account for the loss in sale by the pirates who literally steal the major corporation's business and the pirates make big bucks at the mere cost of a blank cd! Whilst it may seem on the surface that free software would benefit the consumer, when looking into it with the points above it can easily be seen that it doesn't.
