In this paper I will be examining three short readings, all written from the authors own personal perspectives, about events involving the Spanish Civil War. …it was torture not being able to control his own destiny. In summary of what I have read in all of these short documents I come to a conclusion that the men and women that were fighting during this time had been there for all the right reasons. Fred Thomas, Canute Frankson, and Arthur Koestler were all there for their own personal reasons, either for war because of their beliefs or because of their jobs.
