not completely bad, but they can be very negative. This book relies on changing prejudices and vanishing pride. All the characters are well drawn, and each have their own prejudices and various amounts of pride. These ideas are also themes in the novel, so it is not surprising that this novel is, in fact, called 'Pride and Prejudice' when in this book these two characteristics are so important to the plot, character development and setting.
