The classical version of the Hippocratic oath states that a doctor should never give a deadly drug to anyone who asks for it, nor should he make a suggestion to this effect. The oath also states that the doctor should not give a woman an abortive remedy. This is a very difficult decision for everyone involved. Physicians are not only legally bound to the oath; they are morally obligated to do what is right. Without regard to consent of the willing, they are morally obligated to do what is right for the patient, the families and for themselves.
