Introduction
It all started on February 21, 1989. Pete Rose just met with the commissioner Peter Ueberroth and Commissioner-elect Bart Giamatti. The two officials accosted Pete Rose to discuss his gambling habits. Rose defiantly declared, "You can read anything you want into it. But I don't see anything bad."

into the Hall of Fame. He had all the skills. Other people were let back into the game after doing something egregious. There were evidence that Rose never actually betted on baseball. Even popular opinion agrees that Rose should be admitted into the Hall. Rejecting Rose would be a great injustice.
