Peer Review vs. Popular Press Article: Synapses in the Brain- Comparing and contrasting.

This paper will compare and contrast two articles that discuss synapses in the brain. The first article I will summarize is from a popular press that briefly describes synaptic organizing molecules that could eventually yield to new brain therapies. The second is from a peer review that will detail the synapse and their function. Additionally, I will examine each article and state the methods used, research conducted, and conclusions reached.

inputs in the animal. Therefore, by separating the inputs to certain brain target regions, researches determined that the synapse elimination returned to a normal response to external stimuli (Montanaro and Carbonetto, 2001).
In conclusion, both articles examined the synapse with in the brain, however the peer review article was much more in depth, concerning the data, results, and illustrations. The popular press article was intended for my level of understanding, which made it easy to read.
