some common sense. True patriotism must always avoid interfering with the basic concepts of democracy. The events on September eleventh were both heartbreaking and disastrous, but we must not be blinded by anguish. We must continue to question authority; for that is what a true Patriotism is, ensuring that our Government does not abuse its power.
