In the opening of the play you see a projection of George running through a field shouting for Lenny to follow. We, as the audience, have no idea what this is about, but it gets revealed later on in the production. because he is scared. They are both placed stage right so that the Boss is the main focus.
The way they act towards each other, and the appearance of the boss, shows the authority the Boss has, and how George and Lenny are insignificant.
I like this scene because it is quite tense, and I like the way the shadow of the Boss and the microphone were used to make him look big and powerful.
