him to try to help it along by getting people out of his way. His wife, Lady Macbeth, encourages him to kill first and begins his killing frenzy. Macbeth's main mistake in this tragedy is killing people when he does not need to. This gives the people in his kingdom the idea that he is a tyrant and that he will stop at nothing to gain complete control over all of the people of Scotland.
