This also shows the Democrats dislike of monopolies which create an unfair market. The Jacksonian Democrats unquestionably established themselves as the defenders of the US Constitution, political democracy, liberty, and equal economic opportunity. Andrew Jackson in particular politically fought for all of these beliefs which are today fixed in our government.
