How successful was J.S. Mill in overcoming the problems associated with Bentham's Utilitarianism? "The greatest good for the greatest number" is a simple way to sum up a fairly simple idea. But as for the other problems, they are left unsolved, as still happiness is regarded as the only value with which to make moral decisions, still there are no absolute values, and an ability of being able to see into the future is still required.
