Discussion of Anne Sexton.

At the heart of Anne Sexton's poetry is a search for identity, and her well-known infatuation with death, which is the cause of her rather notorious fame. Quite simply, Sexton's poetry is a poetry of life. Sometimes her works seem confessional, but to me it does not mean that her confessions necessarily describe experiences ridden with guilt or pain. style and openness to write that many authors are not naturally given. Anne was very open with her feelings and felt that she did not have to hold anything back. She obviously did this in her poetry. She felt comfortable letting everything come out on paper because it relieved her depression and anxieties. She had so much character and life which is ironic because she sadly ended it all in a cowardly act of suicide.
