The movie 'Rebecca' is an excellent example of Alfred Hitchcock's style and eye for detail that combines with a story filled with psychological fear and settings that are suggestive and interesting. The film creates an atmosphere surrounding the tragic courtship, marriage, and relationship of a naive, plain, and innocent young woman to an overburdened widower, Maxim de Winter, who is haunted by the death of his former wife. key part of the story line. The dramatic lighting and camera techniques accent the dark theme of the movie, almost making Manderly a character in itself. Scenes seem to dissolve from the end of one to the beginning of another throughout the film. The film was also edited to enhance the performance of the leading lady. Overall this is an excellent example of a classic movie that displays the various types and techniques of filming.
