Black like Me
John Howard Griffin decides to change the color of his skin in order to experience, first hand, the racism towards blacks in the Deep South. Throughout his many journeys he watched the blacks endure horrible grief's in there search for equality.
When the blacks attempted nonviolent protest the whites would react violently and unfairly. In the video " A Time for Justice " the blacks protested by sitting at the bar of a diner.

The only way Griffin could truly experience the plight of the blacks was by changing the color of his skin and in some way his whole identity. From the moment his skin darkened he wasn't treated like a human by the whites they looked at him in a whole different way. Griffin soon realized that something must be done the help the blacks get out of the rut in the Deep South.
