The theory of evolution as opposed to the theory of creationism tries to explain why things are the way they are. Do I think we came from Monkeys? No, but neither do I believe a lot of creationist arguments set forth regarding spontaneous generation. However, what I do believe is all this hoopla is more psychological rather than literal.
